The official launching date of Diablo 4 Season 9 is July 1st, when all players will have to start over. For most players, basically they will only play one class in a season, because playing another class will require going through the main story again, which is really a waste of time.
So, in order to avoid suddenly finding that your class output ability does not meet your expectations after you reach the endgame, it is very necessary to understand the strength of those classes in advance.
NO.6 Druid
Cataclysm Druid was too strong before, so it has been giving off its debts in these seasons. After being weakened over and over by the developers, it has successfully become the worst class in Season 9.
Whether it is Cataclysm or Overpower mechanism, they are no longer powerful in Season 9. If you still plan to play Druid, you can still try Cataclysm, but it will definitely not be very good. You can also try Machine Gun Shred Druid and Earth Spike Druid builds, but they all have some flaws.
NO.5 Rouge
Although Rouge did not receive a fatal nerf, it is a pity that it did not receive any new Diablo 4 items worth playing. Many players just like to try out new toys in the new season, but Rouge’s new unique helmet, Deathmask of Nirmitruq, cannot bring it a qualitative change.
First of all, in Rouge’s equipment, helmets are particularly important, and there are many excellent helmets vying for this position, such as Heir of Perdition, Cowl of the Nameless or Harlequin Crest.
Deathmask of Nirmitruq can enhance Flurry, but it also has some negative effects, and judging from the performance of PTR, it does not bring much improvement, so the more recommended build in Season 9 is still Deathtrap Rouge.
NO.4 Barbarian
Barbarian showed very high damage in PTR, allowing him to easily create tens of billions of damage numbers and easily reach the 150 level of The Pit. This is actually an infinite damage bug that exploits the combination of bleeding and Horadric Spells, which should be fixed after the official launch.
Aside from this bug, although some of Barbarian’s skills have been enhanced, they have not brought exaggerated improvements in PTR, so basically you will still play some old content in season 9, such as Earthquake Barbarian build or Whirlwind Pet Quake Barbarian build, and you can still reach more than 100 levels of The Pit with these old meta builds.
NO.3 Necromancer
Necromancer has shown his strength for several consecutive seasons, and the new unique item in Season 9, The Hand of Naz, enhances Necromancer’s ability in summoning. You can get a Skeletal Mage by sacrificing other summons, and after 25 attacks, it can become a Skeletal Archmage.
Summon Necromancer is one of the best choices for new players to farm Diablo 4 gold or leveling. After the buff, this build can also become very strong in the endgame, but the stronger Necromancer build is still Blood Wave Necromancer or Bone Spear Necromancer, which are more popular in The Pit, but unfortunately these two builds have been strong for a long time, and Necromancer needs some new meta builds.
1. 2 Sorcerer
Sorcerer is perhaps the most interesting class in Season 9. The new unique item, Ophidian Iris, really brings a new way to play Sorcerer. If you like to play summons, I recommend playing Sorcerer instead of Necromancer in season 9.
Ophidian Iris changes Hydra skill of Sorcerer, not only allows you to summon more Hydras, but also its output capacity is quite good, it can take you to The Pit 105 level or above.
And Sorcerer also has teleport and shield, and survivability is also good. It is likely to be the most popular S Tier build among players.
But on the other hand, it is the only one that stands out in Sorcerer build, and the other builds are very average.
NO.1 Spiritborn
Spiritborn performs the best in PTR, mainly thanks to the new unique pants he got in Season 9, Balazan’s Maxtlatl. It enhances Spiritborn’s ability in Thorns and Poison, allowing him to deal amazing damage with every melee attack.
This new unique does not enhance a specific skill, so it is actually very versatile and you can use it in various builds.
Another advantage is that Spiritborn in Season 9 does not rely on Mythic unique items. You only need some unique items and Legendary Aspects to complete the entire build. And you know that Mythic unique items are very difficult to farm. Either you need a lot of time, or you need to have 2 Resplendent Sparks and some Diablo 4 gold.

In short, if you want to try a new class in season 9, the most recommended ones are Spiritborn and Sorcerer. The meta builds of other classes have not changed much, and some have even become weaker than before after being weakened.
